From March 20 to April 3, 2024, LIMU graduate students and staff took part in the scientific conference «Lomonosov Readings» annually held at Moscow State University.
On March 5, 2024, the rector of Moscow State University V.A. Sadovnichiy held a traditional reception to congratulate the female scholarship recipients of the MSU rector's scholarship on the International Women’s Day, including our graduate student Ekaterina Ponomarchuk.
Our paper titled «Histology-based quantification of boiling histotripsy outcomes via ResNet-18 network: Towards mechanical dose metrics» has been published in a top-rated journal Ultrasonics (Q1, IF 4.2) – the result of our study devoted to the development of a threshold exposure dose for effective mechanical fractionation of unwanted tissues by boiling histotripsy technique.
On November 20, 2023, the event "Gradient of Science" was held – a meeting of undergraduate students with alumni and graduate students of the Physics Faculty of Moscow State University. As a first speaker, our graduate student Elena Konnova shared the details of her scientific path at LIMU and addressed the concerns of the freshmen.
LIMU students Maria Sergeeva, Stepan Sorokin and Fedor Nartov, as well as a PhD student Polina Pestova were awarded the “BASIS” Foundation scholarships for students of the Physics Faculty of Moscow State University.
On October 19, 2023, a LIMU 4th year graduate student Ekaterina Ponomarchuk successfully passed the defense of her PhD dissertation: “Mechanical fractionation of soft tissues in pulsed focused shock wave fields”. The work was carried out under the supervision of D.Sc. Vera A. Khokhlova and D.Sc. Sergey V. Buravkov. Congratulations to Ekaterina and her supervisors!
