Scientific project of LIMU research fellow Pavel Rosnitskiy «Multiparameter approach to solving the problem of mechanical destruction of prostate tumors using high intensity focused ultrasound pulses» is supported by a grant from the Russian Science Foundation.
The team of students of the laboratory became the winner of the competition of scientific and technical initiatives of the Lomonosov Moscow State University «Science XXI». The project is dedicated to the development of amplitude-phase masks for single-element acoustic transducers. The team included PhD students Nikolayev Dmitry and Asfandiyarov Shamil, as well as bachelor students Kaloev Azamat and Krendeleva Anna.
PhD student Alisa Krokhmal became a laureate of the Rector's scholarship of the Moscow State University for 2021 and she also got the scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation for 2021-2022 for joint research with the 3D Bioprinting Solutions on the topic of ultrasonic manipulation of small biological objects - tissue spheroids.
LIMU students and postgraduates took part in the conference "Lomonosov-2021" and in the school-seminar "Waves-2021" organized with the support of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. Both events were held remotely. In total, 11 reports were presented from LIMU.
In June 2021, LIMU team took an active part in international symposiums and conferences. The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) meeting was held virtually from June 8 to 10, 2021. Our laboratory at the meeting was represented by Petr Yuldashev with an invited talk. From June 6 to 9, 2021, the 20th Annual International Symposium for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU-2021) was held in a hybrid format, in-person part taking place in Gyeongju, Korea. Overall, 11 talks were presented at the conference in collaboration with LIMU scientists.
Despite the remote work and studying, the collection of LIMU students’ and postgraduates’ achievements was actively replenished with new awards, grants and scholarships! E. Konnova, L. Kotelnikova, P. Pestova, Sh. Asfandiyarov and E. Ponomarchuk won scholarships from the “BASIS” Foundation for future MSc and PhD students of Physics Faculty. K. Tumanova, A. Kunturova, A. Tsekhanovich, A. Kaloev, E. Konnova and A. Podyman received the State Enhanced Academic Stipend. D. Chupova and E. Konnova were awarded grants from FUSF and presented their results at the 7th International Symposium on Focused Ultrasound. L. Kotelnikova and P. Pestova received personal stipends named after famous scientists, A.N. Tikhonov and M.V. Lomonosov. And also E. Ponomarchuk has replenished LIMU award collection with personal V. Potanin scholarship.
