Kseniya Topchu received an award for the best project among the 2nd year students of the Physics Faculty of MSU

In June 2019, Kseniya Topchu received the Third Degree Award presenting her project “Changes of morphological characteristics of blood cells during preparation of hematoma models for acoustic experiment" at the contest for the 2-nd year students of the Physics Faculty of Moscow State University. The project was conducted under supervision of Vera Khokhlova and Sergey Buravkov. Сongratulations!

Our project RNF was recognized as one of the best in 2018!

According to the results of 2018, the LIMU project of 2014 – 2018 “Physical principles and development of high intensity focused ultrasound medical transducers for shock wave treatments in inhomogeneous biological tissues” was recognized as one of the best projects supported by the Russian Science Foundation. ​Congratulations to the team on the successful implementation of the project!

Our colleagues from Seattle, George Sсhade and Tatiana Khokhlova, visited LIMU

At the end of March 2019, our colleagues from the University of Washington in Seattle visited LIMU. George Schade, Professor of the Department of Urology and Tatiana Khokhlova, Professor of the University Medical School, gave  lectures on  the present and future of non-invasive surgery using high-intensity focused ultrasound (see the recored lecture 1 on the physical mechanisms and lecture 2 on the clinical aspects).
