LIMU has five pieces of good news!
On July 10, 2026, the results of several competitions by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and the BASIS Foundation for the Support of Theoretical Physics and Mathematics were announced. LIMU young researchers became winners in several nominations!
LIMU received four more RSF grants:

Pavel B. Rosnitskiy won the competition for the projects supervised by young scientists:
“Development of a new generation ultrasound surgery system based on fully populated mosaic arrays: theoretical foundations and experimental implementation”.
Three grants were received by LIMU researchers in the competition for young scientists’ initiative research:
• Alisa A. Krokhmal
“New methods for experimental focusing of ultrasound through the skull”

• Anastasia V. Kvashennikova
“Parametric effects in the fields of ultrasound biharmonic transducers under strong nonlinearity and medium inhomogeneities”
• Ekaterina M. Ponomarchuk
“Selective mechanical damage of pathological inclusions in biological tissues in nonlinear focused ultrasound fields: physical mechanisms and governing conditions”

Alisa A. Krokhmal also became a winner in the BASIS Foundation competition for the development of the special course “Numerical Methods for Calculating Wave Fields in Heterogeneous Media”.
We congratulate our young researchers on their well-deserved victories and wish them new scientific achievements!
