LIMU student Maria Sergeeva became a winner of the scientific portfolio competition

The scientific portfolio competition is annually held for students applying for Postgraduate program of the MSU Physics Faculty, and consists of the two serious selection rounds: a remote assessment of academic achievements accumulated during studies, followed by an in-person defense of the research project in front of a jury.

In April, 2026, the final round of the competition took place, that allowed the jury to determine 30 winners and 30 runners‑up.

Continuing the tradition of LIMU young scientists, this year’s winners included our 6th-year student Maria Sergeeva, whose research focuses on the investigation of nonlinear effects in parametric generation of low-frequency acoustic radiation (scientific supervisior Dr.Sc. Vera A. Khokhlova, research consultant Anastasia V. Kvashennikova)

Winner status not only confirms high academic achievements but also grants the right to enter Postgraduate program without taking entrance exams. Maria has successfully demonstrated the high quality of her scientific portfolio and earned the opportunity to continue her research at LIMU!

We congratulate Maria and wish new scientific achievements to her and all young scientists!
