Step 1: Setting the simulation parameters

Select the investigated initial pressure waveform, select from 1 (in the Algorithms menu) to 5 (in the Comparison menu) numerical schemes with the option to smooth the initial condition for each scheme independently.
Enter the physical parameters (thermoviscous absorption coefficient, propagation distance normalised to plane wave shock formation length, and time window) and numerical grid parameters (spatial and temporal steps, and the number of points per shock for smoothing).
Step 2: Calculation of the waveforms at a given distance

A one-dimensional time waveform of the acoustic pressure at the selected distance is calculated (with the ability to view its evolution in animation mode), obtained using the selected numerical schemes, in comparison with the analytical solution.
