In June 2017, Ilya Stepanov received the Third Degree Award presenting his project “HIFU arrays with tight packing of the elements" at the contest for the 2-nd year students of the Physics Faculty of Moscow State University. The project was conducted under supervision of Vera Khokhlova and Pavel Rosnitskiy. Congratulations!
Within the framework of the Presidential Program to Support Initiative Research of Young Scientists the scientific projects of Sergey Tsysar and Maria Karzova were supported by the RSF grants. Congratulations to LIMU on receiving two new grants from the Russian Science Foundation!
LIMU team has participated in the 3rd joint meeting of the Acoustical Society of America and the European Acoustics Association. The meeting was held in Boston, USA, June 25-29, 2017. Altogether, 13 talks were presented in co-authorship of LIMU scientists.
Foundation for the advancement of theoretical physics “BASIS” in cooperation with the Faculty of Physics held a competition of scholarships for PhD students of the Faculty. LIMU PhD student Pavel Rosnitskiy became one of the six winners selected by the expert council of the contest. Earlier, in 2016 Pavel also became the winner of the contest established by O.V. Deripaska.
The contest for the best scientific student's project named after R.V. Khokhlov is held at the Physics Faculty every year. This year, the project of the LIMU student Julia Andriyakhina "Use of shock-wave exposures for accelerating thermal ablation of confined tissue volumes" received a Second Degree Award. Well done Julia!
On 29 June 2017, a graduation ceremony of bachelors was held at Moscow State University. LIMU students Iliya Mezdrokhin, Julia Andriakhina, Dmitriy Sukhoruchkin, Andrey Polyanskiy, and Zhanna Cherepanova got their diplomas with honors personally from the rector of MSU in solemn atmosphere. Madina Khasanova has also completed her bachelor's program successfully. Now the LIMU team has six new graduate bachelors!
