LIMU at the 23rd International Symposium on Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU-2024)
From September 19 to 22, 2024, the annual International Symposium on Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU-2024) was held in Taipei, Taiwan. LIMU co-head V.A. Khokhlova was a member of the program committee of the symposium, and our fellows Alisa Krokhmal and Ekaterina Ponomarchuk presented two oral and one poster talks.

A top-rated journal Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (Q1, IF 2.9) published our paper titled «Pilot study on boiling histotripsy treatment of human leiomyoma ex vivo» on the results of our joint research with Medical Center of Moscow State University.

On June 3, 2024, students of the Department of Acoustics of the MSU Physics Faculty successfully passed the defense of their Master's theses, including LIMU students Fedor Nartov and Oleg Solontsov. Fedor's thesis was unanimously selected by the committee for participation in the R.V. Khokhlov student work competition.

From May 26 to 31, 2024, the XXXV All-Russian school-seminar "Wave phenomena: physics and applications" named after Professor A.P. Sukhorukov ("Waves 2024") was held. Students, postgraduates and research fellows of the LIMU laboratory presented 12 talks in three sections.
