
On February 13–14, 2026, the IX All-Russian Scientific and Educational Congress with International Participation “Oncoradiology, Diagnostic Radiology, and Radiotherapy” was held in Moscow supported by the Russian Ministry of Health.
The congress program brought together over 3000 specialists in medicine, physics, chemistry, and engineering, and included over 350 presentations and 70 educational sessions.
Practicing physicians and leading scientists shared their achievements and challenges in oncology, radiology, therapy, and diagnostics. Between sessions, representatives of leading manufacturers of MRI, CT, and ultrasound equipment presented the capabilities of modern technologies already available in clinical practice.
LIMU research fellow Ekaterina Ponomarchuk participated as an invited speaker, presenting an overview talk on “Tumor disintegration with high-intensity ultrasound”.
The talk covered the physical principles of ultrasound in surgery, existing and emerging clinical applications of ultrasound, and modern ultrasound systems, including those being developed by our laboratory team.
