LIMU at the Young Scientists Congress in Sirius

On November 26-28, the anniversary V Young Scientists Congress was held at the Sirius University (Sochi, Russia), bringing together the representatives of science and business through lectures, discussions, and exhibitions of Russian scientific and technological achievements. This year, the Congress attracted a record 8,000 participants from 89 regions of Russia and 100 foreign countries, presenting 66 expositions showcasing innovative developments across an area of 8,900 square meters. The average age of the delegates was only 32 years.

LIMU at the Congress was represented by our postgraduates Daria Chupova and Elena Konnova and research fellows Ekaterina Ponomarchuk and Sergey Tsysar.

At the “Scientific Lounge” exposition, we presented the unique exhibits that vividly demonstrate the capabilities of ultrasound, and discussed its medical applications – both those already in clinical use and those being developed in our lab and around the world: from acoustic tweezers and kidney stone propulsion to incisionless tumor fractionation and treatment of brain diseases without opening the skull.

Our booth was one of the most visited and was featured in media reports (in Russian) by TASS, the Student Scientific Society (SSS) of the Physics Department of Moscow State University, and the Student Media Aggregator SES: Science, Education, Students.

We were delighted to show visitors the amazing properties of ultrasound and meet specialists from related scientific fields! We are open to new joint research and further collaboration!
