The Russian Science Foundation has summed up the results of the 2022 competition for grants "Conducting initiative research by young scientists". The project of Maria Karzova "The use of shock-waves to accelerate volumetric thermal ablation of biological tissues by high-intensity focused ultrasound" has been supported. The project is aimed at developing methods of noninvasive ultrasound surgery based on HIFU technology - thermal destruction of tumor tissues.
