LIMU participation in international conference ISTU-2022

From 7th to 10th of June, the 21st Annual International Symposium on Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU 2022) was held in a hybrid format, in-person part taking place in Toronto, Canada. Overall, around 500 scientists and physicians from universities around the world took part in the conference, including LIMU researchers. Along with being a poster presenter, Kseniia Tumanova was an active member of the volunteer group of the Symposium. Despite the difficulties of hybrid format organization, the conference was very successful and scientifically rich covering diverse aspects of latest achievements in the field of therapeutic ultrasound. In the in-person poster session, Kseniia Tumanova presented the results of her research on changes of mechanical and ultrastructural characteristics of in vitro human hematomas over time. In the online session, Azamat Kaloev has successfully presented his poster “Single acoustic hologram for reconstructing acoustic fields of HIFU arrays”, Pavel Rosnitskiy presented his research “Numerical approach for treatment planning and aberration correction for renal HIFU ablation based on computed tomography data”, and Alisa Krokhmal presented her work “Quantitative assessment of tissue susceptibility to boiling histotripsy”.
