LIMU at the International Symposium on Nonlinear Acoustics ISNA-2025

From June 30 to July 4, 2025, LIMU research fellows traditionally participated in the International Symposium on Nonlinear Acoustics (ISNA) which was held in Nanjing, China, this year.

The Symposium program included 16 sections covering the latest advancements in the field of nonlinear acoustics, nondestructive testing, metamaterials, ultrasound diagnostics and therapy, computational acoustics and many others. The first day was dedicated to short courses by leading scientists with educational lectures on nonlinear acoustics.

Oleg A. Sapozhnikov participated in the Symposium as a member of the International Advisory Committee and gave an educational lecture “Nonlinear acoustics of fluids” and an oral talk “High-intensity focused ultrasound in air” within the “General Nonlinear Acoustics” section.

Sergey A. Tsysar spoke about methods for characterization of nonlinear focused ultrasound transducers and fields for therapeutic applications within the “Ultrasonic Imaging and Therapy” section.

Petr V. Yuldashev gave a report on numerical modeling of difference-frequency wave generation in the three-dimensional field of dual-frequency parametric array within the “General Nonlinear Acoustics” section.
