LIMU at the 23rd International Symposium on Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU-2024)

From September 19 to 22, 2024, the annual International Symposium on Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU-2024) was held in Taipei, Taiwan, and LIMU traditionally takes part in the symposium.

The symposium program included 13 sections devoted to the latest results and achievements in various fields of ultrasound applications in diagnostics, therapy and surgery: from thermal to mechanical tissue ablation, from immunotherapy and oncology to the use of artificial intelligence in medical ultrasound.

LIMU co-director V.A. Khokhlova was a member of the symposium program committee, as well as organized and moderated educational lectures.

Our fellows also took part in the symposium:

Alisa Krokhmal gave a talk on modeling the ultrasound field in transcranial focusing in the brain within the section "Focused ultrasound: physics, modeling and hardware".

Ekaterina Ponomarchuk presented two talks within the "Histotripsy" section: on mechanical fractionation of brain tissue and tumors in uterus and breast using boiling histotripsy.

Recordings of the LIMU talks can be found in our VK group.
