Congratulations to Vera Khokhlova with an honorary award!

V.A. Khokhlova received the honorary award of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) - the Rayleigh-Helmholtz Interdisciplinary Silver Medal in Biomedical Acoustics and Physical Acoustics. With over 7,000 international members, ASA is in many ways the most respected community of acousticians. The Silver Rayleigh-Helmholtz Medal is awarded for excellence in interdisciplinary research in the field of acoustics. Among the previous recipients of the medal are not only scientists from the USA, but also from other countries, including world-known acousticians M. Fink (France), T. Leighton (Great Britain), and G. Daigle (Canada). This year, for the first time, the medal was given to a Russian scientist. The ASA announcement for this award recognizes Vera Khokhlova’s contributions to the application of nonlinear acoustics to medical ultrasound and her important role in the evolution of this field. We cordially congratulate Vera!
