On December 9–10, 2025, the II International Youth Science Forum “RadMed-2025” was held at Lomonosov Moscow State University supported by the Russian Oncology Association and the Russian Academy of Education. It brought together over 200 scientists and physicians specializing in medical physics, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, and radiation diagnostics from 23 regions of Russia.
The forum also included a section titled “Non-ionizing Radiation in Medicine” dedicated to the applications of optical and acoustical methods in diagnostics and therapy.
Within the section, LIMU research fellow Ekaterina Ponomarchuk participated as an invited speaker with an overview talk on “Incisionless fractionation of soft tissues using pulsed high-intensity focused ultrasound”.
Our fellow optoacoustics specialists from Nizhny Novgorod, Pavel Subochev and Alexey Kurnikov, also spoke at the forum, while our colleague, radiologist from the MSU University Clinic, Valentin Sinitsyn chaired the section “AI in Radiology and Medical Physics.”
