LIMU participation in international conferences ISTU-2021 and ASA meeting
In June 2021, LIMU team took an active part in international symposiums and conferences. The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) meeting was held virtually from June 8 to 10, 2021. Our laboratory at the meeting was represented by Petr Yuldashev with an invited talk. From June 6 to 9, 2021, the 20th Annual International Symposium for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU-2021) was held in a hybrid format, in-person part taking place in Gyeongju, Korea. Overall, 11 talks were presented at the conference in collaboration with LIMU scientists.

Despite the remote work and studying, the collection of LIMU students’ and postgraduates’ achievements was actively replenished with new awards, grants and scholarships! E. Konnova, L. Kotelnikova, P. Pestova, Sh. Asfandiyarov and E. Ponomarchuk won scholarships from the “BASIS” Foundation for future MSc and PhD students of Physics Faculty. K. Tumanova, A. Kunturova, A. Tsekhanovich, A. Kaloev, E. Konnova and A. Podyman received the State Enhanced Academic Stipend. D. Chupova and E. Konnova were awarded grants from FUSF and presented their results at the 7th International Symposium on Focused Ultrasound. L. Kotelnikova and P. Pestova received personal stipends named after famous scientists, A.N. Tikhonov and M.V. Lomonosov. And also E. Ponomarchuk has replenished LIMU award collection with personal V. Potanin scholarship. Congratulations!
LIMU participation in the Science Festival
On October 10, 2020, within the framework of the All-Russian Festival of Science, LIMU PhD student Alisa Krokhmal gave an online lecture on the topic "Ultrasound as a tool for biofabrication", and also starred with Associate Professor S.A. Tsysar in a story about modern science for the news channel Russia-1.
LIMU participation in the 3-rd All-Russian Acoustical Conference 2020
LIMU took part in the III All-Russian Acoustical Conference which was held in St. Petersburg from September 21 to 25, 2020. In total, 19 reports were presented by LIMU staff in various sessions.
Ekaterina Ponomarchuk and Liubov Kotelnikova are winners of the contest for the best student scientific work of the Physics Faculty named after R.V. Khokhlov
In June 2020 the contest for the best scientific student work named after R.V. Khokhlov was held. According to the results of the contest Katia Ponomarchuk's master's thesis received a third-degree diploma, and Liuba Kotelnikova's bachelor's thesis got a first-degree diploma.
Shamil Asfandiiarov received an «UMNIK» grant of Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises
On 20th of March 2020 the project of LIMU student Shamil Asfandiiarov "Development of a compact device controlled by a smartphone for measuring the elasticity and tone of skeletal muscles" was granted under the "UMNIK" program of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises. Congratulations!
LIMU participated in Russian school-seminar “Waves-2020”
From 23rd to 28th of August 2020, the XVII All-Russian School-Seminar "Wave Phenomena in Inhomogeneous Media" named after A.P. Sukhorukov ("Waves-2020") was held in a remote format. Two reports were presented from the LIMU lab at the school.
International Student Grants from the Acoustical Society of America 2019

LIMU at the 19th International Scientific School “Nonlinear Waves-2020”
From 26th of February to 6th of March 2020 students of LIMU participated in the 19th International Scientific School on Nonlinear Waves. The School was held in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia). LIMU members presented 2 posters.
Maria Karzova got the rector scholarship of Moscow State University
On 22nd of January 2020, a few days before the Tatiana’s day, a graduation ceremony of laureates of rector scholarships of Moscow University for young researchers was held in the Imperial Hall of the Historical Building of Moscow State University. One hundred of the best young scientists of the university under the age of 33 years were selected by the academic councils of various faculties. Among them was Maria Karzova, a promising young researcher of the LIMU. Congratulations to Maria!
