LIMU participated in the XXXIV Session of the Russian Acoustical Society. Vera A. Khokhlova was elected as Vice-President of the Society!

The annual conference of the Russian Acoustical Society was held from October 21 to 25, 2024, at the Andreev Institute of Acoustics. The conference program included 18 sections, covering various aspects of modern acoustics and bringing together scientists across Russia.

LIMU Heads presented two plenary lectures and participated in the conference organization as members of the program committee and section chairs: O.A. Sapozhnikov chaired the sections “Ultrasonic Technologies” and “Physical Acoustics,” while V.A. Khokhlova chaired the section “Bioacoustics and Medical Applications of Acoustic Methods.”

LIMU graduate students and research fellows gave a total of 12 presentations across 5 sections:

In the “Ultrasonic Technologies” section, our colleague Andrey N. Rybyanets presented results of our joint research with the Southern Federal University (SFedU).

The presentations by LIMU students E.O. Konnova, L.M. Kotelnikova, D.D. Chupova, P.A. Pestova, A.V. Kvashennikova, F.A. Nartov and Sh.A. Asfandiyarov were recognized with certificates for outstanding presentations by young specialists!

The conference also included the meeting of the Board of the Russian Acoustical Society, where Vera A. Khokhlova, co-founder and co-head of LIMU, was elected as Vice-President of the Society!
