Ph.D. student of LIMU Pavel Rosnitskiy has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on December 12, 2019. The thesis was prepared under supervision of Dr. Vera Khokhlova. Congratulations to Dr. Rosnitskiy!
In summer and autumn, LIMU students were awarded a number of awards. Anna Kunturova, Lyubov Kotelnikova, Polina Pestova, Ekaterina Ponomarchuk, Anastasia Bobina, Shamil Asfandiyarov, and Anatoly Podyman received increased scholarships. Lyubov Kotelnikova and Polina Pestova were awarded the stipends named after famous scientists, A.N. Tikhonov and M.V. Lomonosov. In addition, Anna Kontorova and Polina Pestova received Student internships from the Focused Ultrasound Foundation.
Machinist of LIMU Valery Rozhkov became the winner of the photo contest “My favorite dacha”, conducted by the trade union committee of the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University. We congratulate Valery and wish him new achievements!
From 14th to 18th of October 2019 LIMU team participated in the XXXII session of Russian Acoustical Society. The conference was held in Acoustical Institute (Moscow, Russia). LIMU members presented 15 talks.
Oleg Sapozhnikov and Vera Khokhlova, together with colleagues from the United States, UK, and France, wrote an article on nonlinear acoustics in the science magazine “Acoustics Today”, published by the Acoustical Society of America.
In September 2019 LIMU team participated in the International Congress on Ultrasonics. The conference was held in Vives Campus (Bruges, Belgium). LIMU members presented 6 talks.
