Our colleagues from Seattle, George Sсhade and Tatiana Khokhlova, visited LIMU

At the end of March 2019, our colleagues from the University of Washington in Seattle, visited the LIMU Laboratory. George Schade, Professor of the Department of Urology and Tatiana Khokhlova, Professor of the University Medical School, spent a productive week with the LIMU team, discussing the results of joint projects, publications and new ideas, communicating with graduate students and undergraduate students. They also visited a Medical Research and Education Center of Moscow State University, met with the director of the Center, Academician A. Kamalov and made a tour of the laboratories of the Center. After this George and Tatiana gave a lecture on the present and future of non-invasive surgery using high-intensity focused ultrasound. Tatiana presented the physical mechanisms of using boiling histotripsy method in non-invasive surgery and George talked on the clinical aspects of using of high-intensity focused ultrasound in urology. Despite a busy schedule, free time was to walk in Moscow, get to museums and ballet. Thanks to our guests for the fruitful visit!
