In the fall semester, the laboratory of LIMU prepared and conducted a special course "Acoustic technologies in diagnostics, therapy, and surgery" with laboratory training for the tenth-grade of the Lyceum "Vtoraya Shkola".

In the fall of 2018, three major international conferences on acoustics and therapeutic ultrasound were organized: International Ultrasound Symposium (IUS, Kobe, Japan), 6th International Focused Ultrasound Symposium (FUSF, Reston, USA), and the 176th Meeting of the Acoustic Society of America, combined with the Week of Acoustics in Canada (ASA, Victoria, Canada). Seventeen talks co-authored with LIMU staff were presented.

Since September of this year, a massive open online course (MOOC) on therapeutic ultrasound has become available. Within the framework of this course, O.A. Sapozhnikov gave a lecture on the principles of generation and focusing of ultrasound. The lecture is now available both on the MOOC website and in the "Lectures" section of our website.
