Within the framework of the Presidential Program to Support Initiative Research of Young Scientists the scientific projects of Sergey Tsysar and Maria Karzova were supported by the RSF grants. Sergey's project is devoted to the development of physical and technical principles of waveguided ultrasound imaging of objects in liquid-metal coolants. Maria's project is aimed at studying the effect of atmospheric turbulence and irregular reflection from rigid surfaces on the parameters of a sonic boom wave in relation to the problems of aeroacoustics.
