Our LIMU colleague Leonid Gavrilov received prestigious Pioneer award from the International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU) and the European Charitable Society for Focused Ultrasound (EUFUS) for research in the field of therapeutic ultrasound. The award ceremony was held in the historic building of the University of Barcelona (Spain) at the opening ceremony of the 19th International Therapeutic Ultrasound Symposium, organized jointly with the 5th European Symposium on Focused Ultrasound. In respect for L.R. Gavrilov, as one of the founders of this field, after award presentation the attendees of the Symposium greeted him with applause.
