On June 18, 2024, postgraduates of the Department of Acoustics of the MSU Physics Faculty successfully passed the defense of their final graduation theses. From the LIMU laboratory, Asfandiyarov Shamil and Kvashennikova Anastasia presented their works.

Shamil's work was devoted to the use of two-dimensional antenna arrays for ultrasound imaging and physical impact on objects in an inhomogeneous medium and was carried out under the scientific supervision of Oleg Sapozhnikov (reviewed by Petr Yuldashev).

Anastasia presented her research on numerical modeling of parametric generation of a difference-frequency wave in three-dimensional ultrasound beams, supervised by Vera Khokhlova and consulted by Petr Yuldashev (reviewed by Sergey Tsysar).

Based on the results of the committee voting, both works were assessed as excellent.
