From May 26 to 31, 2024, the XXXV All-Russian School-seminar "Wave phenomena: Physics and Applications" named after Professor A.P. Sukhorukov ("Waves-2024"), organized by the Department of Photonics and Microwave Physics of the Physics Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, was held at the Krasnovidovo Moscow State University Recreation Center on the shore of the Mozhaisk Reservoir. This year, the conference gathered about 200 participants from various Russian and Belarus universities, including 12 people from LIMU. The school program consisted of 11 sections and covered a wide range of areas devoted to various wave phenomena and processes: from optics and quantum physics to magnonics, acoustics and hydrodynamics. Within the framework of the sections, invited experts gave interesting lectures, and oral and poster presentations covered a number of topical problems and their state-of-the-art solutions.

From the LIMU laboratory, 12 reports were presented: by our alumnus Alisa Krokhmal, postgraduates Elena Konnova, Liubov Kotelnikova, Daria Chupova, Polina Pestova, Shamil Asfandiyarov, Ekaterina Ponomarchuk and Anastasia Kvashennikova, MS students Fedor Nartov, Oleg Solontsov, and Specialist students Maria Sergeeva and Stephan Sorokin. Also, Sergey Tsysar spoke at the plenary session as an invited lecturer on the topic "Acoustic holography: from theory to practical applications". Based on the voting results of the school participants, as many as three representatives of our laboratory were awarded diplomas for the best scientific talks among all participants of the conference: Ekaterina Ponomarchuk and Stephan Sorokin who gave their talks in the section "Bio- and medical applications of wave physics", and Maria Sergeeva who presented her work in the section "Acoustics of inhomogeneous media". Also, Sergey Tsysar was awarded for the best lecture.

In addition to the scientific program, the participants were entertained with evening events: quiz, movie night, barbeque and board games!

Our laboratory also took part in the organization and holding of the school-seminar "Waves-2024". Oleg Sapozhnikov was a member of the program committee, and Sergey Tsysar and Anastasiya Lapina were members of the organizing committee of the school.
